Description
Our afternoon snorkel tour will take you to see reefs at a depth of 27 feet. During 1.5 hours of snorkeling, you can visit the Chitales or Manchones reefs and on Tuesdays and Fridays you can snorkel in MUSA.
Our snorkeling tour in Cancun offers a unique excursion, where you can visit the underwater statues located next to the Manchones reef area. Manchones is located between the coasts of Cancun and Isla Mujeres and is currently home to 455 of the statues. The environment constantly alters the appearance of the sculptures, requiring algae to provide a base for fragile corals and food for fish. Some of the sculptures already show coral growth and we expect more in the near future. Currently these mysterious statues are covered in algae and coral polyps, the plan worked and Cancun is now home to the largest artificial reef in the world. In the underwater museum you can see schools of fish, turtles, rays, etc.
