Get to know the most representative places in the city!

We begin with the tour at the Veracruz Aquarium, where you can admire the representative fauna of the State. At noon, we will visit the fortress of San Juan de Ulúa, which was built by order of Hernán Cortés, as it protected Veracruz from pirate and corsair attacks at the time. A guide will tell you all the history and legends that the oldest prison in Mexico houses.

At the end of this visit, we will move to Mandinga, where we will enjoy a boat ride through the mangrove area and also have time to eat delicious freshly cooked seafood in Mandinga restaurants (food is not included).

To finish the tour, we will visit the historic center of Veracruz aboard a traditional Tram, from where we will be able to observe the most important and beautiful places in the city.

Itinerary:

10:15 am: Admission to the Veracruz Aquarium. On this tour, you will see 10 exhibition rooms, where you will be able to see thousands of specimens that will captivate your senses and make your visit an incredible experience.

12:00 pm: Tour to San Juan de Ulúa. We will be waiting for you outside the Plaza Acuario, to board the unit that will take you to see the most feared prison in America in a guided tour that will fascinate you. Tour the fort built over nearly 500 years ago. Enjoy the view offered by the Tower of San Pedro, from where you will have the best photographs of the port. Learn about the legend of Chucho "El Roto", the thief who stole to help the poor. Visit the cells where Chucho "el Roto" and "Mulata de Córdoba", two of the most famous legends of this place, were imprisoned.

IMPORTANT: The entrance to the San Juan de Ulúa fortress is restricted to groups of 10 people every 10 minutes, with a maximum of 400 visitors per day. Book in advance.

3:00 pm: Board the unit outside Plaza Acuario for the Mandinga tour.

3:40 pm: Boat tour in the Mandinga lagoon. You will observe the behavior of some birds in the different vegetation, while the boat moves slowly as it enters this ecosystem. There is a great variety of restaurants installed on the Mandinga riverside, it is difficult to choose one since they all offer delicious fish and seafood, we will give you our recommendation.

4:00 pm: Time for you to take your lunch in the Mandinga restaurants.

7:00 pm: Tram tour of the Historic Center. There is no better way to get to know the historic center of Veracruz than on board a picturesque tourist tram; It is a 40-minute panoramic tour where the architecture, history, and culture of the Port of Veracruz will surround you, passing through 21 historical monuments that were a important part of our history.
