Chichen Itza is considered the most important city of the Mayan culture and counts with a big number of architectural elements. In this tour you'll get to admire the pyramid of Kukulcan also called El Castillo, place where through the light of the sun comes the famous feathered snake descending from the pyramid during the spring equinox (March 20th). This archaeo-astronomical phenomenon is the moment when the earth is illuminated by the sun in the same way in the northern hemisphere and in the southern hemisphere. At sunset on March 20, a serpentine solar projection is observed on the north stairway of Chichen Itza Castle, consisting of seven triangles of light, inverted as a result of the shadow projected by the nine platforms of that building.
